Kait Walsh loves waking up Southern New England as the weekday morning anchor at WPRI-12. As a lifelong Southcoast MA resident, she loves being able to report on the stories that matter in her community, both in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Kait's reporting and anchoring have earned her two Regional Emmy Awards as well as part of a team winning a regional and national Edward R. Murrow Award. One of her most rewarding experiences was serving as a lecturer for a newsroom class at her alma mater of Boston University College of Communication.

When she's not anchoring, Kait spends time working on enterprise stories. It's a way she can showcase newsworthy stories in communities that might otherwise not get the appropriate attention.

Kait's dedication to journalism has led her to reporting inside the White House, at the U.S. Capitol several times, at the Super Bowl for eight days, at the Air Force Academy in Colorado, and across New England, covering landmark court cases as well as presidential visits and celebrity scandals.

Kait is an avid runner and lives in Southcoast MA with her husband, son and daughter.
